Speaking Into Being
Glasgow Project Room, July 2024

Speaking Into Being was a collaboration between Niamh Moloney and Tinja Ruusuvuori—a walking experiment spanning two countries over four years.

Through our conversations, we discovered that describing our surroundings over the phone generated a “third space”: a tangible sense of the dynamic between us, existing independently of us, almost as if it were a separate entity. We came to recognize this space as consistently present—a place that fascilitates the shared act of imagining.

The exhibition  includes a video work, an audio offering to the River Clyde, and a collaboratively written text “Clywwd / Clut / Clutoida / Clota / The Clyde: She Listens”.

The exhibition was a continuation of a collaborative essay written in 2021 as a part of Flock Circumstances exhibition at 16Nicholson Street gallery: “Undoing the Workshop - the Art of A-void-dance”.
